My absolute favorite farmer's market so far is Portland's! I am a sucker for a great farmer's market packed full of local farmers and gardeners. Colorful, organic produce toppling over the buckets among buckets of stands, fresh-cut flowers of beauty, and amazing farm-to-table food make this farmer's market a must-see!
We already knew that we wanted to go. In fact, on every trip we take, going to the local farmer's market is a MUST! We purchase our breakfast and most of our dinner food for the entire trip so we can eat like the locals . . . at home (or in our case, our Air Bnb). We love trying fresh local meats, seafood, and produce. Now of course we save room for local cuisine prepared by some of the best-recommended restaurants.
I couldn't recommend this farmer's market enough! It caters to all your senses . . . the smell of freshly cooked food draws you in, but the array of colors and the abundance of produce keeps your interest.

I highly recommend purchasing meat, seafood, and produce for a couple of meals while you are there! They have great selections and the food is outstanding. All from local farmers. The floral selection is also beautiful . . . be prepared to grab a couple of bouquets to spruce up your place of stay while you are there.
